It’s a sad fact that many of our troops, having done their duty for Queen and country are just ignored once they’ve done their bit.
hopefully the charity will do well—–there is no more deserving cause, ex sapper
Because of the support from ex service personnellike yourself and the general public who appreciate the work our service people do we are hoping to be soon in a position to provide more accommodation for our increasing population of vulnerable homeless ex service personnel.
I’m well gutted I didn’t win. Still could be worse. Glad I donated some dough though.
Richard if only everybody could win a prize, though you have the consolation of knowing your contribution will be helping to provide food and clothing vouchers and suitable accommodation for the veterans we are in a position to help. Thank you for your contribution. Good Luck next time. You can also donate via our Just Giving Page https://www.justgiving.com/help4homelessveterans/
Answer -C-Neville Chamberlain.
Please can you tell me how much percentage of funds goes directly to homeless. I would be interested donating directly but not to a promotions firm.
Thanks
Hi William,
It is kind of you to consider donating to Help4HomelessVeterans. I can understand that you may wish to donate directly and not via a promotions company that is why as a charity on our webs site we have in place a Just Giving site, accessed by the clikc of a button
https://www.justgiving.com/help4homelessveterans/
It is also possible to donate by cheque direct to our registered office.
To answer your original question: As a charity we recieve from the Promotion Company 100% of all donations into the colllection cans and 20% of the face value of all tickets sold. This information is also displayed on our FaceBook page. Again thank you for considering our charity for donations either now or in the future. God Bless
I’m from the US, but we have the same problem. I’m a veteran, but I’m retired, so thankfully I have a pension – for now. I weep and pray for my brothers- and sisters-in-uniform each day.
Al thank you for your sentiments often all we have is prayer to help the homeless veterans so the more prayers the better. You might want to google the poem by Rudyard Kipling with the line “It’s Tommy this and Tommy that” It has changed very little since the poem was written.
What percentage of the raffle total is used for beneficiary welfare support
Hello Margaret,
I think the answer to your question is already on the page however in order to respond to you personally. 20% of the face value of the ticket price is donated to Help 4 Homeless Veterans. 100% of all donations in collection boxes, goes to the charity.
Of the amount of money raised and donated, 100% is used for the beneficiaries. Currently Help 4 Homeless Veterans has no paid Directors, Trustees or Volunteers.
The public can also donate via our Just Giving Page https://www.justgiving.com/help4homelessveterans/
I hope this is a satisfactory answer for you, though if you consider I can help in any other way please contact me.
Best wishes and thank you for considering Help 4 Homeless Veterans.
